Dinas Dinlle Bank Holiday Session.

What a day!  The sun was out, the wind was blowin..... the waves were crashing in!! all true.. well apart from that last bit ;)

Had a fun little session on the bank holiday sunday down at Dinas Dinlle, it's down the west end of the Menai Straits, the wind from the west swung to the NNW as we'd hoped and it ended up being perfect 4.5 full power and side shore...  there was a few waves around but nothing epic, waist to chest high but get the timing right and there's some good jumping to be had....  Figuring out that it was just like a flattish day on Maui i'd thought i'd try out my Polakow Quad 82, genius stuff.. really good fun to throw around yet still big enough to get going right off the beach to boost some jumps of the small waves close in... great fun...  Even feeling a wee bit sunburnt too!!

Now there's a nice little surprise, you don't look at a magazine for ages and then you pick one up and it's me on it! well, a nice surprise for me anyway... I didn't even know i was going to be on it?  I'm always pushing shots to magazines and hoping to get covers or big spreads, funny that when you stop it for a few weeks they put one on!!

Thanks to the boys and girls at Boards magazine for running with it and a big up to Si Crowther aka "Fuzzy Crowther" for snapping it on Maui back in April...

There's been a couple of days sailing lately but nothing epic, some possible wind this week from funny directions but at the minute i'll take anything!

Can't wait to hit the water again, i think i've been re-stoked with the windsurfing fire to push on again... i was at a low after GC i'll have to confess!

Chinook Accessories

Big up Ed and the boys at Chinook for popping this fella in the latest boards and windsurf magazines!

Reading the advert i was staggered to find they do an unconditional warranty!! happy days, i have moved to a forward thinking brand!  I wonder if Ed knew my reputation beforehand for pushing equipment to it's limits and beyond occasionally!

In fairness to them their selling a great product that really works, i've had these booms and extensions for getting on half a year now and i've not bent or broken a single piece, the extensions in particular are don, compare that to last seasons stats on extensions and the difference is staggering!

Had a couple of decent days sailing last week, full power 4.2 and 4.5, some nice jumping and good waves at last, nice to have a full on fun session at home, the first since february i think??

Bits of wind on the horizon and new toys in the post so hopefully there'll be some action to be had shortly again.
